It's about 10:30 in the morning right now. I got a job at Aldo in my local mall, and today is my first day! I applied in February, and I kept calling and calling to get follow ups and I finally got an interview and got the job. I absolutely adore my boss. She's so sweet, and her wardrobe is something to be admired. And working with two men that remind me of "Sassy Gay Friend" just makes it even better. This job is like heaven on Earth. Being around shoes and handbags all day long. And I get paid for it... Seems too good to be true...
When I applied to Aldo, I had a really good feeling about it, and I kept getting signs all day long. All the other stores I went to were out of applications. It was then that I knew that I was going to get the job. I'm really excited to start. Being independent is a good feeling. And I cannot wait to feed my closet with the paychecks.
Sorry this blog post is so short, but I wanted to kind of document today. More blogs to come for sure. I have a lot of ideas planned. My makeup and hair are done, my outfit is perfect... I'm ready to go. I'm so excited you guys. It's almost ridiculous. Most people my age don't even want a job, but I have wanted one for two years now. All of those clothes from American Apparel that I love will be in my closet soon enough. Life is just grand.
